The scariest thing in the world is waking up alone, not knowing if you have been abandoned or just forgotten. Magic had a lot of days like that .. days that turn a child’s heart to stone and draws a child’s soul towards the demon’s habits of selfishness and apathy.

Years dragged on in darkness as Magic fought her way up as an ambitious demoness, driven by hate and greed. Then one day, Magic came across a young child struggling with the same heart-rending torment, alone and ignored. 

In that frozen moment, it was like Magic was displaced in time and she found herself standing in front of her past self. The child’s silent tears echoed through Magic’s dark heart until the stone walls of her heart crumbled.

Magic wrapped her arms around the child, “Tell me any wish you have and I’ll grant it”. The child just smiled and with all the power of childhood innocence said, “Just knowing that you see me and that I am not alone brightens my day enough”.

Magic replies, “I’ll be your glorious sun and burn myself so bright that there would never be darkness in your world again. I will always be shining here for you. You are never alone”.

And so, a magical girl was born.
