Kagura Sohma may look like the sweetest, most polite girl in the world, and most of the time, she is! Warm, friendly, and full of energy, she wears her heart on her sleeve and never holds back her feelings.
Here’s the twist: when emotions run high, especially around her crush, Kyo, that gentle smile can turn into a full-on Boar charge in seconds. Passionate, impulsive, and a little too honest with her feelings, Kagura has zero sense of personal space and isn’t afraid to show her love… sometimes with a few bruises along the way!
The Inspiration
My fellow cosplayer, Cheru, started cosplaying Yuki, and soon our entire Discord cosplay group jumped on the Fruits Basket train!
I had just cut my hair, and it happened to be the perfect length for Kagura – so of course, she became my next cosplay.
Closet cosplay
First Appearance
To bring Kagura’s classic style to life, I layered a silky, short-sleeve button-up dress over a crisp white long-sleeve shirt – simple, sweet, and so very Kagura.
For the hair, I went with two neat braids tied back, paired with heavy, defined eyes and just a hint of blush to capture her energetic, lovestruck vibe.
And because no Kagura cosplay would be complete without him, I hand-stitched my very own Kyo stuffie out of felt – her favorite boy, always in tow!
